Public data
Let’s kick things off with the big one.
The need-to-know:
We have partnered with US business intelligence startup SigmaBI to create a real-time index of anonymous occupancy data.
This data is being used by none other than Bloomberg to show how lockdown and other government initiatives are affecting workplace behaviour (and they’re even displaying it on the Bloomberg Terminal – get us).
This data is available at index.metrikus.io: go see for yourself.
Why this is great:
✅ Offers global insights from anonymous data
✅ Easily digestible information
✅ Fantastic demonstration of 3rd party data integration
Meeting room usage ranking
The need-to-know:
We now have a new way of visualising meeting room occupancy data. You can now easily see the most and least used meeting rooms. You can also see how the utilisation has changed compared to the previous week, month or custom period. Fantastic, if we do say so ourselves.
Why this is great:
✅ A really quick way to identify rooms that are under- or over-utilised
✅ Allows you to then investigate why certain rooms are used less than others
✅ Provides informative data that can be used to make the decision to repurpose an underutilised space
Kiosk Mode - Capacity
The need-to-know:
With this update, you can set up a display around your building to show employees or visitors where available space is.
You can now see at a glance how many people are currently within a space and whether or not the capacity limit is being breached.
The display will update if someone enters or leaves a space (please bear in mind that update frequency will vary depending on the hardware solution and configuration).
Why this is great:
✅ Allows people within a building to save time by showing them where available space is
✅ Help reduce overcrowding and promote social distancing
✅ Customisable maximum capacity thresholds to meet your local guidelines
✅ Display availability of nearby spaces so people can see where else they could go
✅ Optimised for all kinds of tablets, monitors and TVs so use whatever you want
✅ Dark mode! You will automatically see the dark mode theme if your device is already in dark mode.
This one really is the gift that keeps on giving!
API Update
The need-to-know:
With our API update, you can now request historical data for your own defined time period rather than a fixed 30 day period.
For example, you can now specify that you would like to see all temperature data for a particular sensor from the 1st to 3rd of December. This will save you having to request the full month of data and extracting the information you really want.
Want to find out more about how you can use our API or want to have a look at our documentation? Get in touch, we’d be delighted to help (and show off a bit).
Why this is great:
✅ Allows for optimisation of 3rd party applications
✅ Faster response times by only requesting data you need
